Ausco Products, Inc. is announcing the immediate availability of the Ameri-Torque mechanical caliper. These brakes are designed for use on golf cars, Neighborhood Electric Vehicles (NEV's) and golf car-based hunting/utility vehicles.
The brake is designed as a drop in replacement for current drum brakes. The brake requires no vehicle modifications and utilizes the same brake cables, brake pedals, and mounting surfaces. In addition, the Ameri-Torque provides 20% more stopping power than the drum brake, 33% longer brake pad life, 45% more parking torque, and is 100% made in the U.S.A.
Ausco also offers the brake with optional high performance metallic linings. When combined with the Ameri-Torque's open access design, these linings offer the industry's best wear performance and lowest maintenance cost on rough terrain hunting vehicles that see the harshest of environments.
